Vegan Autumn Recipes

With the change of the seasons comes crisp mornings, crunchy leaves, warm sweaters, candle light and a bountiful harvest of fruits and vegetables.  Oh and wonderful comfort food.  Food that warms you from the inside out.  Robust flavours, bubbling pots of vegetable stew topped with salty herbed dumplings.  And pumpkin spice everything.  Here we have a tonne of Vegan Autumn Recipes to help celebrate this glorious season.

Beautiful fruits abound in autumn – plums, damsons, blackberries, apples, pears and figs that can be so wonderfully used for for sweet and savoury dishes.

Honestly I get so excited for autumn (even if that excitement starts around June).  I was born at the end of August, just as summer was fading into autumn and I long for these shorter days and cosy nights filled with twinkling candles, hot chocolate and a big bowl of something yummy with a giant hunk of crusty homemade bread.  Followed by something fruity, syrupy, warm and inviting.

It also means a return of porridge for me.  Do you like porridge in summer?   With long hot days in the kitchen I don’t fancy starting it with a hot full belly and prefer cereals or overnight oats during the warmer months.  What’s your favourite summer breakfast?
